You won't regret bringing a rocking chair to camp.

Summary : The GCI FirePit Rocker is exactly what you want around the campfire. It's rock solid, but rocks effortlessly. It's also packable and easy to toss in the car.

GCI brought an entirely new level of chill to the campsite with their rocker style camping chairs. Their new one, the GCI FirePit Rocker, might be my favorite. It sits lower to the ground than the other models, which makes it easier to rock if you’re not particularly tall (like me). The spring action rockers do a superb job of recreating that old porch rocker on your Grandma’s porch, but this one folds up! It makes it easy to toss in the car, and it only weighs 11.9 lbs. There is, of course, a beverage holder for your favorite suds and a carry handle that makes toting it around a snap. The weight limit is 250 pounds, and the powder-coated steel frame means that you’ll get many years out of it.

One of my favorite features is merely the design itself. There is a satisfying “pop” when you open it, and it creates tension, so the seat is firm. It’s a smart design. The mesh back will be helpful on those hot summer afternoons when you’re in chill mode. The GCI FirePit Rocker comes with a limited lifetime warranty and for a foldable, portable rocking chair, the price tag of $60 ain’t bad either. The only thing they don’t tell you is how to keep your friends out of it.
